Finding Wisdom for Social Media

social-networking-cloudAs much as I love Twitter, Facebook, blogging, reading articles, and all the other cool things of social media, the most important part of my day happens offline.  It’s when I have my daily talk with God.

Some days, I’m anxious; I do more talking than listening.  Those are the days that in the end I tend to wonder, “Now, why did I do that?”  Thankfully, God is patient, and He’s blessed me with patient family, friends, and loved ones.  Even more, He somehow turns those “Now, why did I do that?” days into moments that work out for my good and His glory!

Then, there are the days that I stop and listen.  These are the days when God really feeds me and guides me.  He pours Himself into me; He pours wisdom in me.  Of course, this happens because I step out of my self so that He can live in me.  These are the days that I really experience God.

As registration continues for our first class, I pray that we will all remember to stop and listen to Our Father and allow Him to pour His wisdom in each us for His glory in our churches, organizations, businesses, etc.  While I’ll serve as your lead colleague for the upcoming course, please know that Jesus Christ is Our Teacher.  If you want to truly find wisdom for social media, consult with Our LORD first.  He’s the giver of wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 3:6).
